so you ask, who is this lefty guy anyway?
he is my online persona, of course. who am i? it’s for me to know and you to find out as they say on the playground. why use a nom d’ keyboard? because as blogger kom says, there’s a lot of crazy sickos out there in internetland. but really, why? anyone with 15 seconds and even a little bit of knowhow can do enough scratching to find out who’s in charge.
the real answer? it’s funny to have a pseudonym. it’s even fun to say: soo-do-nim. say it slower and with a stutter, and it’s even funnier: suuu-do-nymnymnym.
anyway, lefty will comment on political & philosophical ideas in a reasoned (?), articulate (?), researched (?) manner. of course, there will be some frippery thrown in there for leavening. i’d like to post some media (book/movie/play) reviews, too, but that’s only as time and interest permits.
lefty is left-leaning, of course, but hopefully he’ll come across in a way that’s more substantive than saying, “it’s liberal, that’s why!” i want him to comment on current issues with links to open source news and references. if news is slow, or i don’t feel particularly ranty about the daily rag, i might comment on religious matters, examining and evaluating traditional views. because, after all, a view that’s not vetted is just bigotry.
yeah, so that’s why this name and this space exists. so it’s not as funny, or as entertaining or as “reality” based as defined by this summer’s tv schedule. if that’s what you want, you should look elsewhere.
