hiya,
so, like, i’m supposed to be sleeping and stuff, but i have to write.
went to the wedding thing, and that was nice. doing the whole “benson dubois” routine as an usher for a ceremony akin to forbidden fruit for me. and then went to the reunion, after a crazy drive and a 2 hour layover at a bookstore. (no complaints).
but as for the giddy bit. . . . in the last message i said i had a new friend D(g), with whom i’ve been chatting for the last, oh, 2 months. we finally exchanged phone numbers yesterday and he called me. the same day! he left a nervous, but cheery message on my cellular’s voicemail (as i was unavailable). i got the message later in the evening, after which nothing could have broken my day.
just returned his call with another vm and now i can’t sleep. now i’m just a giddy git.
had to tell someone.
