i received a copy of my 10-year high school reunion’s memory disc the other day via an unorthodox delivery method. it was serendipity, really. i was walking back from a restaurant with my buddy D(g) when out of the blue an automobile starts honking at us furiously and the driver was waving frantically.
“whatever,” i thought. i assumed it was a confused driver, waved and walked on.
then the car turned the corner and stopped right next to us. the passenger side window went down and the driver started yelling out my name. creepy, right?
i approach the vehicle and who do i find but an old classmate B(I)J with who’s been charged with delivering said discs. and she happens to have them on her.
i’m so confused by the chance meeting that i forgot her married name and her husband’s name. i didn’t introduce them to my buddy or even greet them myself. all i could do was accept the discs and fumble out a mumbled “thanks.”
okay. so it’s now two weeks later, and i’ve watched the disc. it’s a good effort. now i’m in a nostalgia overload.
i started clicking old links and remembering old buddies, and come across this one from a former roommate:

link and pic belongs to ben. follow the link and you’ll find a quicktime version of the music video for “to make manifest” by thavius beck, directed by ben barnes.
go see it. in fact, you should go see the rest of his work, and give him some money. he knows what to do with it.
