autumn is settling in, and i’m a little frazzled. not nearly as frazzled as this guy, but harried nonetheless.
last week my brother called me to say that he’s back in the states upon completion of is second and final tour in iraq–knock on wood. he tapped me with the responsibility of driving his truck to him at the base in north carolina, which means that i’d have to drive 24 hours in less than two days to accomplish that. then i had to launch into my nighttime shift not long after, where i’m covering for a coworker who’s on her honeymoon in brazil.
things, and by that i mean lack of sleep, are catching up with me, and i feel like taking a break. so no essay this week.
but i’m working on a two- or three-parter where i present an email conversation with AC, a former coworker, who challenges me on my position on the religion & politics split. i’m still marking it up, for email doesn’t transition well to wordpress’s style without some help. i might have something up in a few days.
happy friday.
